Background:
The son of Lycius M. and Elizabeth (Sullivan) Addleman, Irving Addleman was born in Looneyville, Houston County, Minnesota on August 9, 1869.His father was connected to the Milwaukee railroad, and his work took them for brief periods to other cities. As a boy, Irving lived in Hakah and Wells, Minnesota, Milwaukee, Stevens Point, Tomahawk, Tomah and Waukesha.
Accomplishments:
In Milwaukee he attended the Milwaukee Medical College, graduating in 1906. He came to Wausau in 1907 and opened his practice at 515 ½ Third Street, where he also resided.
Irving Addleman was married in September 1921 to Kathryn Simons. They were later separated. Dr. Addleman was a member of the Marathon County and the Wisconsin State Medical Societies, and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Irving Addleman died on February 25, 1941. He is buried in Forest Home Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI.
