Voices from the Past: Living History Cemetery Tours

Join us at Pine Grove Cemetery (1501 Grand Avenue in Wausau), for our annual cemetery tours! The first tour leaves at 11 a.m., and the last tour begins at 2 p.m.

During a guided tour through the historic cemetery, costumed reenactors will tell stories from Marathon County’s past. We’ll highlight business owners, a musician, a military officer, and several others that made Wausau the strong community that it was then and has become.

Suggested donation is $5 per person. No advance reservations. Rain or Shine.

In the case of severe weather: should there be thunder and lightning at the advertised start time, the event may be delayed or canceled. Watch our Facebook for timley updates.
Should there be severe weather after tours have begun, guests already on tour should return to their cars. If the severe weather pushes through within 30 minutes, please proceed back to the arch at the main entrance of the cemetery and your tour guide will meet their group and resume the tour. If the weather has not passed within 30 minutes, all inprogress and remaining tours will be canceled. Those not wishing to stay, or whose tour has been canceled, may request a refund of their donation by contacting the historical society during regular business hours.
