Vintage Wausau Postcards
The 4 postcards included are: "Greetings from Wausau", the Court House, the view from Memorial Bridge and a scene from Marathon Park. Published by Central Wisconsin Paper Company and printed by Dexter Press in New York in the late 1930's, these cards were somewhat popular. By the 1940's the heyday of the postcard had passed and the company was in no danger of running out. In 1975, when the building was sold boxes of these cards were found in the basement. They were generously donated to the Marathon County Historical Museum.
